unwinding mormonism

A program for heart-centered ex-Mormons and cycle-breakers reclaiming their life and joy after leaving the LDS Church.

10 weeks of inside-out transformation from religious conditioning to embodied self-leadership.

Don’t stop at leaving. Break free.

Leaving the LDS church is nothing short of radical.

To step away from the community, culture, lifestyle and beliefs that you may have known from birth takes guts!

Leaving can feel relieving and empowering, and it can also come with unexpected challenges.

You may find yourself feeling isolated, confused, and even scared at times. Parts of you may be certain of the new path you are on, while other parts may feel homesick for aspects you had to leave behind.

Navigating family relationships or your community as an outsider can feel endlessly activating for tender parts of you that still crave belonging, that want to be seen, validated, understood and accepted.

Further, when the thread that held together your old reality begins to slowly unravel, and you are not yet on stable ground––in your new life, your new beliefs, and this new developing version of yourself––you may feel like your very existence is under attack, reacting appropriately with experiences of withdrawal, defensiveness, anger, sadness, and more.

Many of you may find that years after leaving, you’re still carrying feelings of unworthiness, still stuck in over-performing, people-pleasing and perfectionism, wondering if you even truly know yourself outside of the system. Some, especially those of us who have experienced marginalization or discrimination, may carry an added layer of shame and sense of inherent “badness” that make it feel impossible to ever truly break free.

Nevertheless, there is hope.

I’m sure you’ve experienced glimmers of it or witnessed a hopeful transformation in others. And, it’s true! With proper support, there is much peace, liberation and joy to be found both through and on the other side of healing.

Whether you left more recently or long ago, my wish for you is that through these 10-weeks together something gentle yet big will shift for you giving you the confidence to continue forward on your path toward breaking free.

Inside-Out Transformation

Religious deconstruction is a slow, unwinding process, with the conditioned imprints and beliefs from our earliest environment often operating in our subconscious, quietly informing our present experiences. This group experience is an invitation to gently turn toward the parts of you still holding the underlying burdens of fear, shame, unworthiness, and self-doubt, greeting them with curiosity and care so that real, embodied and long-lasting change can allow you to reclaim your body, your joy, and your autonomy.

What to Expect

Each group will offer a structured but spacious container for personal reflection, embodied awareness, and connection with others who understand the unique grief, complexity, and liberation of leaving the LDS Church.

Through guided meditations, somatic explorations, reflective writing, and partnered or small-group experiences you’ll have the opportunity to explore the following themes within your own system.

Coming home to yourself and to your own humanity

Finding belonging without self-abandonment

Reclaiming your relationship with your emotions, body, and pleasure free of shame and feelings of unworthiness

Embracing authenticity outside of perfectionism, people-pleasing, and performance

Rebuilding inner safety and self-trust after experiences of betrayal, loss, disconnection and self-doubt

Becoming empowered to live your personal truth without fear of exposure or persecution

Creating meaning and purpose on your own terms

Seeing clearly a new and hopeful vision for your life

Who This Is For

This group experience is a good fit if you have engaged in some degree of personal growth work and are in a general state of emotional stability. Most importantly, it is best suited for those who are ready to show up with curiosity, honesty, and care for themselves and others.

You don’t need to have everything figured out. You don’t need to know exactly where you’re headed next. Wherever you are on your healing journey, you are welcome here!
